Upcoming M4 night closures

19 Sep 2016

Night closures will take place intermittently over the next eight weeks on the M4 Motorway and surrounding arterial roads to enable vital work to continue on WestConnex, one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects. The closures will start on Sunday 3 July and will continue over coming weeks and motorists are advised to check livetraffic.com before heading out. Project Director Terry Chapman says the patience and understanding of motorists is greatly appreciated. “Over the coming weeks we are going to see a lot of exciting work take place on the M4 Motorway as part of WestConnex which will result in motorists benefiting from a more reliable and more efficient, free flowing drive from Parramatta to Haberfield,” Mr Chapman said. “We understand the interruption that road and lane closures can cause, so to minimise impact to local residents and motorists, work will take place overnight when traffic volumes are at their lowest. “Motorists should plan their journey by checking live traffic for the latest details on scheduled traffic changes and allow for extra travel time, and follow the directions of traffic control and and detour signs,” he said.
